HISTORY & STATUS
Hindustan Chemicals was established in 1979, and has been operated by the present management since 1998. It is an ancillary to the Steel Authority of India Limited- Bhilai Steel Plant.

THE PARENT COMPANY
The present Hindustan Chemicals management's parent company is the D.P. Bansal Commercial Company Private Limited, an Iron and Steel trading concern with four decades of experience in Rolling Mills, MS Steels, MS Steel-Angles, Joists, Channels, Pipes, Plates, Sheets, Scrap, Flats, Squares, Tor, Rounds.
Other areas of business include Agriculture, Weigh-Bridges and Real Estate.

INFRASTRUCTURE AND RESOURCES
Hindustan Chemicals' manufacturing unit is spread over an area of 1,10,000 Sq.Ft. Infrastructure includes Hydraulic Press Machine, Washing Units, Distillation Units, Oil Blenders, Mixers, Tableting Machines, Powdering Machines.
Hindustan Chemicals also has a small and functional laboratory primarily used for quality and specification testing of incoming/outgoing materials and products. Hindustan Chemicals is in the process of upgrading this facility.
Hindustan Chemicals is aware of its environmental responsibilities, and its production process is carried out as per governmental norms for effluent control.
With a skilled workforce of 15 workers, Hindustan Chemicals' present production capacity is 20 Metric Tons of Refined Naphthalene and 50 Metric Tons of Hot pressed Naphthalene per month. Production capacity of the various Oils it produces is approximately 60 Metric Tonnes per month.

LOCATION
The Manufacturing Unit of Hindustan Chemicals is located in the Light Industrial Area of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. Bhilai is situated at distance of approximately 36 kms from Raipur, the capital city of the state.
Centrally located, it is extremely well connected through Rail and Road Transport to all parts of India.

PLANS AND PROJECTIONS
Markets
In the coming months, Hindustan Chemicals aims to extensively explore newer markets, both in India and abroad, for better quality sourcing of raw materials and for placing its own products with greater visibility.
Branding
Hindustan Chemicals also plans to brand, package and market its own line of hygiene products, specially Naphthalene based items.
Laboratory
Hindustan Chemicals is also in the process of upgrading its laboratory for better quality control and, possibly, developing new products and variants.
Products
Hindustan Chemicals aims to expand its product profile by regularizing the production of a range of Coal Tar Pitch products in the near future. These items are presently being produced on order basis.
